Marie Julie Jahenny (1850-1941) was a French mystic, visionary, and stigmatist who lived in the 19th century. She was born in the village of La Fraudais, in the Breton region of France. From a young age, she experienced visions and other mystical phenomena. In her early twenties, she began to receive the stigmata, or wounds of Christ. She bore these wounds for the rest of her life, along with other physical and spiritual sufferings.

Jahenny's life was marked by both suffering and hope. She endured many trials and persecutions, but she also experienced great spiritual consolations. She was a source of inspiration for many people, both during her life and after her death.

Early Life and Visions

Marie Julie Jahenny was born on February 12, 1850, in the village of La Fraudais, in the Breton region of France. Her parents were farmers, and she had seven siblings. From a young age, Jahenny was a pious child. She spent much time in prayer and meditation, and she had a deep love for the Blessed Sacrament.

When Jahenny was 12 years old, she began to experience visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary appeared to her as a beautiful young woman, dressed in white. Mary told Jahenny that she was to be a victim soul for the sins of the world. Jahenny was also given a mission to spread the message of God's love and mercy to the world.

In addition to her visions of Mary, Jahenny also experienced visions of Jesus Christ, the saints, and the angels. She was also given the gift of prophecy, and she foretold many future events, including the outbreak of World War I and World War II.

The Stigmata

In 1873, when Jahenny was 23 years old, she began to receive the stigmata, or wounds of Christ. The stigmata first appeared on her hands and feet, and then spread to her head, chest, and back. The wounds were extremely painful, and they often bled profusely.

Jahenny bore the stigmata for the rest of her life. The wounds were a constant source of suffering, but she offered them up to God as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

Other Physical and Spiritual Sufferings

In addition to the stigmata, Jahenny also endured many other physical and spiritual sufferings. She was often sick, and she suffered from many different ailments, including tuberculosis, rheumatism, and heart disease. She was also persecuted by the local clergy, who accused her of being a fraud.

Despite her sufferings, Jahenny never lost her faith in God. She remained a source of inspiration for many people, both during her life and after her death.

Death and Legacy

Marie Julie Jahenny died on January 4, 1941, at the age of 90. She was buried in the cemetery of La Fraudais. Her tomb has become a popular pilgrimage site for people from all over the world.

Jahenny's life and writings continue to inspire people today. She is a reminder that God is always with us, even in our darkest moments. She is also a model of courage and perseverance in the face of adversity.

Marie Julie Jahenny was a remarkable woman who lived a life of suffering and sacrifice. She bore the stigmata for over 60 years, and she endured many other physical and spiritual sufferings. Despite her trials, she never lost her faith in God. She remained a source of inspiration for many people, both during her life and after her death.
