Marie Julie Jahenny (1850-1941) was a French mystic, visionary, and stigmatist who lived in the 19th century. She was born in the village of La Fraudais, in the Breton region of France. The Stigmata

In 1873, when Jahenny was 23 years old, she began to receive the stigmata, or wounds of Christ. The stigmata first appeared on her hands and feet, and then spread to her head, chest, and back. The wounds were extremely painful, and they often bled profusely.

Jahenny bore the stigmata for the rest of her life. The wounds were a constant source of suffering, but she offered them up to God as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

Other Physical and Spiritual Sufferings

In addition to the stigmata, Jahenny also endured many other physical and spiritual sufferings. She was often sick, and she suffered from many different ailments, including tuberculosis, rheumatism, and heart disease. She was also persecuted by the local clergy, who accused her of being a fraud.
